Butterfly at High Point University
This piece was a commissioned art piece for High Point University and is mounted in between the butterfly cafe and the conservatory on campus.
Our team fully designed and engineered this entire project and includes a unique movement feature where the installation will move up and down, as though it was flying.
The body of this piece is solid aluminum that Extreme Millwork had milled and the wings are made of Lexan, bulletproof acrylic. The wings were printed by Cranford Silkscreen to resemble stained glass.
